The World’s Coldest Candy Store: Paul Berkman of DigIn

In this interview from the 2012 Global Economic Symposium, journalist Naomi Conrad of Deutsche Welle speaks with Paul Berkman, author of the recently-published “Environmental Security in the Arctic Ocean”, about the retreating sea ice and what it could mean for Arctic coastal states as well as for the rest of the world. The changes are dramatic, and a real assessment of the opportunities vs the dangers is tough to arrive at.

Mr Berkman was one of the panelists for the session “Exploring Energy Resources in the Arctic Ocean“.
