Disappearing Forests: Frances Seymour, Former Director General of the Center for International Forestry Research

In this audio interview from the Global Economic Symposium 2012, journalist Naomi Conrad of Deutsche Welle talks with Frances Seymour, former Director General of the Center for International Forestry Research. Ms Seymour talks about some personal experiences with deforestation in Southeast Asia, and what the future might hold for ideas like emissions-trading, a process which is already partially underway with funds from the Norwegian government going to Brazil and Indonesia. Ms Seymour participated in the session “Protecting and Restoring the World’s Forests“.
