Micheline Tobia

I lived 18 years in the coastal city of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, before moving to my country of origins, Lebanon, in 2005.
In November 2010, I co-founded with four other people Mashallah News, a website about the Arab world, Turkey and Iran. It is the result of years of frustration over the coverage in the mainstream media of the region. I have since then worked as an editor, contributor and event planner of the website. I write for both Beirut and Jeddah, and have been devoting all my time for this project.
I am currently writing my masters’ thesis in International Relations, dealing with the Turkish foreign diplomacy and Ahmed Davutoğlu’s influence since 2002, and will be graduating in June 2012.
